Find out why matriculation for your COL credit course is important. Matriculation is the process by which you are formally admitted as a student to the University of Edinburgh. Matriculation only applies to those studying on a credit-bearing course. Even if you don’t intend to submit assessments and study for credit, you should still matriculate. Some courses are taught in buildings, or use specific computing suites, that require a student login to access. In addition, teachers will make course materials available online which can’t be accessed if you don’t matriculate.
