Our courses have been designed for flexible part-time study. All Programmes Most courses are broken up into one class per week, and run for several consecutive weeks. Classes are generally held at the same times each week, and (where possible) in the same classroom or studio. Class duration times are typically 2-3 hours each. Most of our courses are taught by one tutor. These tutors will be your main point-of-contact throughout your studies. Our courses typically blend lectures and interactive discussions or exercises. Programmes like Art, Creative Writing and Design are often practical 'workshop' style courses, where you will be required to produce work each week. Language courses Our language courses combine speaking, reading and writing activities. We place a strong emphasis on developing oral communication skills throughout group, paired and individual work. Cultural elements are introduced in each course by examining topics such as local traditions, literature and festivities. Competency Levels We have adopted the language levels of the 'Common European Framework of Reference for Languages' (CEFR). This means that wherever in the EU you go to study languages or to work, institutions and employers will immediately understand what level you are. Homework Teachers set a certain amount of work to be completed in your spare time before the next class. Whilst this is not obligatory, you will get more out of your course if you do additional study at home. We therefore greatly encourage students to do their homework.
