Is homestay right for you? Homestay is primarily designed for international students studying bespoke courses at COL. Typically, students will be part of a group undertaking short-term study ranging from 1 to 8 weeks. Longer stays can be arranged subject to availability and agreement with group organisers. There may be opportunities for students on other COL programmes to apply for homestay, and if this is available, details will be provided on the relevant programme webpage, listed under accommodation options. Students must be aged 18 years or over to participate in homestay, and must be able to communicate in English at an intermediate level. Homestay is not suitable for English language beginners. Please note, COL homestay is not currently available to private individuals, University of Edinburgh students not studying at COL, or students from other universities and institutions not affiliated with COL.
