Courses, dates and fees

Our Pre-University Summer School is aimed at students aged 16-18 who are in their final or penultimate year of high school. We offer a range of courses in different subjects across Humanities, Social Sciences, Design and the Sciences.

Each course is two weeks long and runs between 30 June and 11 July 2025. Residential accommodation is included in the fee.

Students will have the chance to explore Economics, Politics and Social Anthropology and deepen their understanding of contemporary social issues by studying a range of topics such as climate change, war or inequality.

Students will embark on a scholarly adventure through a range of disciplines including Literature, Philosophy, History and Art History and gain a fascinating insight into studying Humanities at university level.

Students will explore what data is and the different types found across various science disciplines. Data will be explored in the context of the data science life cycle alongside how best to manage different data and where and how to obtain it.

Students will explore different areas of the Life Sciences, such as Biology, Chemistry, Genetics and Immunology and work with science specialists to learn about different Life Science careers.

This course will introduce students to the creative potential of Design and equip them with tools to develop an expressive personal portfolio.
