Meet Your Programme Representative and Share Feedback. As a student at the University of Edinburgh, your feedback matters. It's your views, comments and suggestions that will help shape future improvements. Programme Representatives work on behalf of their fellow students to improve the student learning experience. They can collect feedback on aspects of your course or programme such as curriculum, assessment and learning resources and share that with staff, predominantly through the Student-Staff Liaison Committees (SSLCs). Your Programme Representatives for Access (Day) have now been appointed. Meet Your Programme Representatives Calum Shepherd - Programme Representative Access (Day) Image Hi! I'm Calum Shepherd, one of your Programme Representatives for Access (Day). I moved to Edinburgh in the summer with a view to studying but also settling for a while to raise a family - my partner is expecting our first baby in December 2019. Thanks to a stint in the RAF I've lived all over the UK and spent time in a few more obscure locations. Immediately prior to being accepted to the Access Programme I was living in Leeds where I found myself working in Health & Safety. This was not my dream job and it was time to strike out in a new and wanted direction. My role as Programme Representative is to represent your views and opinions on all matters relating to learning and teaching. I can contact programme staff directly on your behalf and will raise your views and concerns at the Student-Staff Liaison Committee for Access. Elizabeth Gascoigne - Programme Representative Access (Day) Image My name is Elizabeth Gascoigne and I am one of your Programme Representatives for Access (Day). I am enjoying studying again after a few years at home looking after my childre. Prior to this I worked as PA in a law firm. My role as Programme Representative is to collect feedback and views from fellow students studying the Access Programme. This can be about any matters relating to the learning and teaching of Access such as course content, resources, assessments and support. This will then be discussed with programme staff at a Student-Staff Liaison Committee. Submitt Your Feedback You can submit feedback about your course or programme directly to either or both of your Programme Representatives using the email addresses below. Your Programme Representatives will collect all feedback and use it to inform their input at the Student/Staff Liaison Committee (SSLC). Minutes from the SSLC will be available online after each meeting. C.Shepherd-3@sms.ed.ac.uk (Calum Shepherd) E.Gascoigne@sms.ed.ac.uk (Elizabeth Gascoigne) This article was published on 2024-10-14
