Suggested activities for offer holders of the 2021/22 Access Programme. Image Our policy on the Access Programme is to release teaching materials a week before the associated class. For this reason, we don't ask students to read course materials in advance. However, as COVID lockdown restrictions ease there are some ways in which you can prepare yourself for working on some of the disciplines in Access Art and Design. As such, Deirdre MacLeod, the Teaching Fellow on the Art and Design strand of the Access Programme has shared some suggestions ... Before you read on, please note that these suggestions are entirely optional and there is no expectation for you to complete them. Below is a selection of upcoming exhibitions which will give you a good sense of the vibrant, diverse shows which are on over the summer in Edinburgh. The selection has a particularly Scottish flavour and these galleries are accessible and welcoming. We'll be visiting some of these shows in the first semester...but it's always good to have seen an artwork more than once!
